Birmingham Women’s Health Care NHS Trust is a Centre of Excellence for specialist healthcare to women and their families in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

We enjoy a remarkable regional and national reputation and are the regional referral centre for complex gynaecology, fetal medicine and complex obstetrics cases.  Patients come from outside the West Midlands for specialist treatment in these areas. The Trust also houses the biggest clinical genetics laboratory in Europe. Around 7000 babies are born here each year.

• Maternity care
• Genetic laboratory testing and clinical counselling
• Assisted Conception Unit
• Services specialising in all types of gynaecological cancers and urogynaecology

It is our vision to continuously improve the clinical quality of our services, increase the efficiency of our organisation and enhance our patients’ experience. The Trust is currently applying to become an NHS Foundation Trust which will give the Trust more freedom to invest in its services and will also give our patients, staff and communities a greater say in the future running of our organisation.
