Leaving a Gift to the Hospital in Your Will

Leaving a gift in your will (a legacy) to a charity is simple. Your solicitor can advise you at the time you write or will or you can add this request at any time after that.  A legacy to a charity is exempt from Inheritance Tax.  For example, leaving £1000.00 to a charity will reduce the value of your estate by that amount before the Inheritance Tax is applied.
