We also have liaisons with our colleagues in the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.  Dr John Wright, Dr Paul Miller and Dr Tarak Desai (Paediatric Cardiology) and Dr Johnston (Fetal Medicine) have clinical sessions here in the Fetal Medicine Department and are also interested in pursuing clinical research in the area of Fetal Cardiology.  In addition, there are two ‘screening ultrasound lists’ for fetal cardiology.  Three specialist sonographers lead this case load.

In addition there are two further specialist Fetal Medicine Clinics:

1. The first trimester fetal cardiac clinic. Two clinics monthly on Friday pm.
2. Joint Fetal Medicine / Genetics Clinic. Monthly with Dr. Denise Williams (Consultant Clinical Geneticist)

We also have regular meeting and close liaison with both our paediatric surgeons and other specific areas of the paediatric service, including neonatal paediatrics (Head of Department:  Dr Imogen Morgan).
