About Us

The Birmingham Women’s Hospital NHS Trust is a regional referral unit offering care for around 7,500 women per year.

Our midwife led care service is well established and to complement it, we are proud to offer you the opportunity to use our midwife led unit within the hospital, right alongside our existing delivery suite. This provides you with the best of both worlds:

• you can be in a homely environment where you will receive care from a group of midwives experienced in helping women to achieve a natural birth.

• you are right next door to our delivery suite should your labour become problematic (or there be an emergency situation), where a team of midwives and doctors experienced in providing care for women with problems are on hand.
