Elections

Our Governors  are an important link between members and the Trust, ensuring that the membership as a whole has a voice. Their primary focus is to make sure the Trust’s plans reflect local need and expectations. They also have formal powers to appoint the chairman and non-executive directors, approve the annual report and accounts and approve the appointment of external auditors.

We believe a strong Foundation Trust should have representatives from the people we treat, across all age groups, the people who work for us, those who care for our patients and those people who live in the West Midlands. These groups are our constituencies, and all members belong to one of them. We have a total of 26 Governors made up of;

  • 10 Public Governors
  • 4 Patient/Carer Governors
  • 5 Staff Governors
  • 7 Stakeholder Governors
