We are a Foundation Trust
On 1st February 2008, our Trust was granted NHS Foundation Trust Status. Whilst still keeping the name Birmingham Women’s, the Trust became ‘Birmingham Women’s NHS Foundation Trust.’
We have been a foundation Trust since February 2008, and our performance as a Trust has continued to move from strength to strength supported by our reputation for clinical excellence, our history of high performance and our strong financial management.
Since becoming Foundation Trust we have achieved ratings of good for clinical quality and financial management from the Health Care Commission, We have also remained MRSA free for the sixth year running.
As a Foundation Trust, we are committed to understanding and responding to the views of our members through the Members Council. The Council has been involved in forward planning, commenting on and influencing the Trust’s corporate objectives and providing commentary for the Annual Health Check.
