Newborn Transport Service

The NTS works with the Neonatal Units in South West Midlands (SWMNN) and Staffordshire, Shropshire and Black Country Newborn Networks (SSBCNN) to provide a safe and timely transfer/retrieval service for the babies. This is to ensure that babies are cared for in the right place and at the right time and where possible nearer to home (DOH 2003). See below for a list of the hospitals in each network, and the level of care they are able to provide.
